Who this is for

This page is for new creators and creators with a few brand deals who need a repeatable way to find companies worth approaching.

Do this in the next 10 minutes

Build a shortlist of five brands. For each one, check the product, target customer, recent creator activity, public reputation, and the audience problem it may solve. Read negative reviews and decide whether the complaints are justified. Remove any brand you would not feel comfortable recommending yourself.

Decision rule

Good money does not make a poor audience fit safe. Do not pitch a product you cannot stand behind, a company with justified trust problems, or a situation that feels suspicious. Keep the brand only when you can explain how the partnership helps its goal, serves your audience, and gives you work you are proud to make.

The short answer

Start with recent videos from channels like yours. Write down the sponsor, product, video link, and date. Then ask one key question: would this product help your viewers without hurting their trust?

A past ad proves that the brand used YouTube. It does not mean the brand is hiring now.

Start with your viewers

Your viewers trust you. That trust comes before the brand, the fee, or the deal.

Ask these questions before a brand goes on your list:

  • Would I feel good telling my viewers about this product?
  • Does it help with a real problem my viewers have?
  • Can most of my viewers use it where they live?
  • Can it fit a real video without feeling forced?

If you would not feel good sharing the product, leave it off your list. A large fee cannot fix a bad match.

Match a finance need to a brand type

Start with the help your viewers need. Then look for a product that may help.

  • Debt or a simple budget: A budget tool or bank app may fit.
  • Investing: An investing app or platform may fit.
  • Tax or small business help: A tax app, bookkeeping app, or business bank may fit.

These are ideas to test, not proof of a deal. Check the product and brand before you pitch.

Where to find brands that sponsor YouTube channels

Start with public facts. Open the video and read the full description. Look for clear words such as “sponsored,” “paid promoter,” or “paid partner.”

Where to lookWhat it showsWhat it does not show
A dated sponsor videoOne public ad ran.The brand has money or open spots today.
Two or more dated sponsor videosThe brand used YouTube more than once. The ads worked or more ads are planned.
A brand partner or affiliate pageA partner program may exist.A paid YouTube ad ran.
A creator job post or product launchThere is a reason to learn more. The brand is ready to hire you.
A rumor or an old list with no datesA name to check.Proof of a real or recent deal.

Next, search the brand name with words like “sponsor,” “creator,” and “YouTube.” You can also check the brand site, LinkedIn page, and recent job posts. Treat each one as a clue until you find clear proof.

Try the sponsor research check

Check one brand at a time. This tool helps you see what you know and what you still need to check. It does not say that a brand will reply, hire you, or pay a set fee.

Public sponsor examples to study

Examples checked July 16, 2026. Each link shows a past public ad. It does not mean the brand is hiring now or that it fits your channel.

A brand link is not always a paid ad.

A July 6 Heresy Financial video lists M1 under “Affiliate Partners.” That shows a business link. It does not prove that M1 paid for an ad in that video. Mark it “not sure” until you find clear words.

Anonymous lesson from a private ad deal

Creators Agency reviewed a private ad deal where a brand tested paid YouTube work with a creator. The brand later shared an early report.

The report showed visits and completed sign-ups. It did not say if every count was a new person, which ads it covered, or if a completed sign-up became a customer.

We left out the names, dates, links, product details, and exact totals to keep both sides private.

This private lesson is not public proof that a brand is hiring. Use a dated public ad to start your research. Then check the brand and product before you reach out.

Make a short sponsor list

Start with five brands you can study well. Five is a simple work plan, not a perfect number.

Save these facts for each brand:

  • Brand and product
  • Viewer problem it may help
  • Public video link and date
  • Why it may fit your viewers
  • What you still do not know
  • Your next step

Use the tool above to copy one row into Google Sheets. You can also download the blank tracker and add one brand per row.

What to do after you pick a brand

Creators Agency has worked on 4,000+ sponsored deliverables since 2021. A deliverable is one paid ad a creator made and posted. Apple Crider, CEO, reviewed this guide.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find brands that sponsor YouTube channels?

Look at recent paid videos on channels like yours. Write down the brand, product, video link, and date. Then check if the product helps your viewers and keeps their trust.

Does one sponsored video mean a brand is hiring creators now?

No. It proves that one public ad ran in the past. A recent ad is a useful clue, but it is not a promise that the brand is hiring now.

What makes a sponsor a good fit for my channel?

The product should help with a real viewer need. Your viewers should be able to use it. It should fit a real video, and you should feel good sharing it.

Where do I find the right person at a brand?

Start with the brand's team page and LinkedIn. Look for a person who works on creators, partnerships, or social media. Our contact guide shows each step.

Can a small YouTube channel find sponsors?

Yes. A smaller channel can still be useful to a brand when the audience, topic, and product fit well. Use our small-channel guide to check what is ready.
