A media kit is a short file about you, your channel, and your viewers. It can help a brand see if you are a good fit. It cannot fix a weak pitch.
Start with one clear way you can help the company. Then show proof. Your media kit backs up the idea.
Only pitch a product you can stand behind. Your viewers' trust comes first.
How do I write a finance YouTube media kit?
Start with one line about who you help. Add your normal views, viewer facts, best topics, types of work, past proof, email, and channel link. Use facts you can check. Keep the file short. Leave out rates until the brand likes the plan and you agree on the work.
Start with one useful idea
Look at the company before you write. Find one thing you can help with. Keep the idea clear and tied to its work.
Teach
The company has no simple YouTube video that shows how its product works.
Compare
You can make a fair video that compares its product with a top choice.
Reach the right people
Your viewers have the same need that the product can help with.
Make an ad
You can make a clear video that the company may want to use in its own ads.
I can help [company] reach [type of person] by making [video or ad idea]. This fits because [one true fact about your viewers or past work].
Put one strong fact in the email itself. Do not make the brand click a link just to see your proof. Your full kit can wait until the brand shows interest or asks for it.
What your media kit needs to do
Your kit should answer a few plain questions:
- Who watches your videos?
- How many views does a normal video get?
- Why do your viewers fit this company?
- What real proof can you share?
- How can the brand reach you?
A media kit shows why you fit. It should not list prices. Talk about the fee after the brand likes the plan and you agree on the work.
Page one: the facts a brand needs
Put your best facts first. Use plain words and large text. A brand should not need to hunt for the main point.
- Channel[name and link]
- One-line pitchI help [group] make [money choice].
- Average views[views] per video, based on [count] videos.
- Audience[top country], [main age group], and other facts you can prove.
- Best topics[topics that your viewers care about most]
- What I can make[types of work, with no prices]
- Contact[name and email]
Find a fair view average
- Pick recent videos that have had time to get most of their views.
- Remove clear high or low outliers. Do not hide a weak video just because it is weak.
- Make sure at least 10 videos are left.
- Add their views. Divide that total by the number of videos you used.
- Write the method next to the result.
Average views: [number] per video. Based on [10 or more] recent videos that had time to get most of their views. Clear outliers were removed.
You can list your subscriber count too. Still, your normal views give a brand a clearer idea of how many people may see the ad.

Show what you can make
Tell the brand what you can make. Only list work that fits your channel and your viewers. Do not add prices yet.
- Video adA short ad inside one of your usual videos.
- Full videoA full video about a useful topic that fits the product.
- Short videoA YouTube Short or other short post when it helps the plan.
- Ad for the brandA video the brand may use on its own page or in paid ads. Agree on those rights first.
I can make [type of work] about [topic] for [type of viewer].
Page two: proof from real work
Use real proof when you have it. This can come from a paid ad, an affiliate link, or your own offer. Say what the number means. Do not hide a bad result. Do not promise the same result next time.
Partner: [name, or "private finance app"]
Goal: [what the company wanted]
Work: [what you made and posted]
Result: [views, clicks, leads, sales, or another true result]
Note: [what helped, what did not, or what you learned]
If you must keep a brand name private, say so. You can still share a true result if your deal lets you.
If you have no past deal, use your best channel facts and a good idea for the company. You can also add one or two real viewer questions. Remove names first. A comment can show what viewers care about, but it does not prove sales.
What to write in your first email
Your first note can be short. Lead with the idea. Add proof in the text. The media kit is optional at this step.
Subject: YouTube idea for [company]
Hi [name],
I saw [one clear thing about the company or its videos]. I can make [video or ad idea] for [type of viewer]. It may help [goal].
My [recent videos or past work] got [one true fact].
Would this be useful for [product or plan]? I can send my full media kit if it helps.
Best,
[your name]
When the brand shows interest, send the full kit. You may also send it in the first note when the brand asks for one. The idea and the proof matter more than the file.

Agree on the work before the fee
Do not name a rate before you have a clear plan that the brand likes. First, agree on the work.
- What will you make?
- Where will the ad go?
- How long will it be?
- What can the brand ask you to change?
- Can the brand use your work in its own ads? If so, where and for how long?
- Must you pause work with another brand? If so, for how long?
- What data will each side share?
- When will you post and get paid?
These facts shape the fee. A set price in a media kit can be too high for a small job or too low for a big one. Read our plain guide to brand deal talks before you agree.
